Guilford County has a 14,715 rental gap and 18,495 for-sale gap, resulting in a 33,210 housing shortage (source), expected to rise given our recent exciting economic growth initiatives.
Sadly, 21% of Guilford renters are severe cost burdened (paying over 50% of income toward housing costs), as are 8% of homeowners (source).
I support Greensboro’s Road to 10,000, and I believe we need to do even more to support the development and availability of affordable housing developments across Guilford County.
