I was voted by Greensboro elected officials and Democratic party leaders to replace Ashton Clemmons on August 3, 2024. I was then appointed by Gov. Cooper to finish her term and replace her on the ballot. Thus, I am the incumbent and running for re-election this November for NC House Representative District 57. It is shown in the map here and includes the northern areas of Greensboro in Guilford County.
The district cuts through Lake Brandt and Lake Townsend where I love to trail run on the weekends and includes Bryan Park where my husband loves to golf. We live in the Lake Jeanette area squarely in this district. My family has lived here for the past five years, and we love it here!
I strongly believe that I am the perfect person to represent this district since we are a young family with two children in public school in our district (Jesse Wharton Elementary School and plans to attend Mendenhall Middle School and Page High School). My husband works at Cone Hospital, which is just outside of our district but a key employer of many in our district.
I will be a staunch supporter for key issues of those in my district. I know that the eastern side of my district has several concerning food deserts and food insecurity issues. Everyone in our district is impacted by our local economy and inflation. We must protect our beautiful nearby lakes, parks and wildlife.
Please read about three issues I believe are of upmost importance to my constituents and North Carolinians across the state:
It would mean a lot to me if you support my campaign - please donate, volunteer, and/or spread the word.
Thanks in advance!
