I am a leader at heart and I have the professional and political experience necessary to represent my fellow North Carolinians as NC House Representative for District 57 (Northern Greensboro). I am extremely results-oriented ... I uncover problems/inefficiencies, present a solution, and help ensure that it's implemented. I truly enjoy the challenge and I am excited at the opportunity to do this for my Greensboro constituents at the state level!
I was head of marketing and sat on the board of directors at a NC-based wealth management firm with 75 employees that we successfully sold to Modera Wealth Management in 2023. I have more than 15 years of marketing experience across the financial services, technology and online media sectors. In my professional capacity, I have managed and mentored 10+ person teams, created and adhered to $1M+ financial budgets, and led teams through times of uncertainty, all of which will bode well as your next NC House Representative.
My heart is here in North Carolina where I was born and raised. I am a three-time Tar Heel (Go Heels!): I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2012 with the School's first MBA/MSIS from Kenan-Flagler Business School and the School of Information and Library Science. I was president of the Business Technology Club at Kenan-Flagler. I graduated from UNC’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a multimedia degree in 2007, and was president of the Society for News Design. I truly seek leadership positions at every chapter in my life!
I live in Northern Greensboro with my husband and two daughters. I enjoy running, playing tennis, and traveling with family and friends.
Last spring I was selected to be a fellow for the NC Institute of Political Leadership, a non-partisan curriculum that develops future political leaders at all levels of NC government. Previously, I was on the steering committee for Steve Luking’s NC Senate campaign against Phil Berger and volunteered for Women for Stein, a committee supporting Josh Stein’s NC governor race.
I am the president of Women 2 Women Greensboro, a group of 250+ members committed to growing our $5 million endowment at the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro to provide grants to women and children in need here in Guilford County. Under my leadership we doubled our fundraising efforts at our annual luncheon, enabling us to grant out $50,000 more to local non-profits this fall!
